More immigration legal wrangling . . .

The US Department of Justice has sued Illinois in an attempt to block enforcement of the state’s new Right to Privacy at Work Act. The Act prohibits employers from using the federal government’s E-Verify on-line worker verification system due to efficiency concerns.

According to the DOJ, the suit “seeks to invalidate an Illinois state law that frustrates our ability to assist employers in making sure their workforce is legal, and in doing so conflicts with federal law.”
