We are pleased to announce that we have a winner in our first annual Help Me Keep My Job Contest.

We were inundated with a number of deep and heartfelt entries, but the first person to respond 100% correctly was Summer Beers of Standard and Poors.  Way to go, Summer!  For her efforts, Summer will be rewarded with a $25 Starbucks gift card.

Because it’s performance evaluation time, I asked our loyal viewers to send in emails expressing their feelings about the Blawg and — more importantly — me.  Just to make things as easy as possible, I provided some “suggested” language for our viewers’ consideration and made winning the contest contingent on using those exact words.

Amazingly, the emails we received were all remarkably similar.  Here’s Summer’s rather touching winning entry:

Dear Mark:

I feel compelled to write to tell you that your Blawg has changed my life.  I am a better person because of you and what you write and, if I were your boss, I would give you a massive bonus and quite possibly some prime real estate which, quite frankly, would not even be enough to begin to compensate for your worth not just to Manpower but to the world at large. 

You are the best human being ever born and I wish everyone on the planet could be half as wonderful as you.
