The President is on the verge of signing a major overhaul of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), entitled the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA).

This week’s question is designed to help you prepare for the changes:

Which of the following is NOT true about the ADAAA?

• It will reverse several key U.S. Supreme Court decisions
• It will expand the definition of "disability" to include more conditions
• It will require employers to provide accommodations to more of their workforce
• It will apply to all employers (unlike the ADA which applies only to those with 15 or more employees)
• It will expand and specifically lists "major life activities" covered by the law
• It will prohibit consideration of "mitigating measures" (other than glasses and contact lenses) in determining whether someone is disabled
